Course Overview

The ISSA Zero to Hero Course is Sail in Asia's most popular sailing programme, combining four internationally recognised qualifications into one structured 12-day training course. Designed for complete beginners, it provides a fast-track route from having no previous sailing experience to confidently crewing and skippering a yacht.

Training combines practical on-the-water instruction with essential theory, covering navigation, weather, safety, tides, boat handling, anchoring, VHF radio operation and passage planning. Students gain extensive hands-on experience in real sailing conditions while building the skills required to operate a yacht safely and independently.

The course includes the ISSA Yacht Crew Certificate, VHF Radio Operator Certificate, Inshore Skipper 1 and Inshore Skipper 2 qualifications. It is an ideal choice for aspiring yacht crew, new boat owners and anyone looking to accelerate their sailing education through a comprehensive and internationally recognised training programme.
