Course Summary

The ISSA Offshore Skipper Motor Yacht Course is an advanced 10-day programme for experienced motor yacht skippers ready to progress beyond Inshore Skipper level and develop the knowledge, judgement and practical skills required for offshore command.

Throughout the course you’ll develop advanced navigation, passage planning, pilotage, meteorology, collision regulations and crew management skills alongside extensive practical training in motor yacht handling, berthing, anchoring, man overboard procedures and safe vessel operation.

Successful students receive the internationally recognised ISSA Offshore Power Yacht Skipper qualification, providing an excellent foundation for further experience and progression towards the highest levels of recreational motor yacht training.

The official ISSA Offshore Motor Yacht Skipper Handbook is available separately through our online shop and provides valuable reference material before and after your training.
