Course Summary

The ISSA Offshore Skipper Multihull Course is an advanced 10-day programme for experienced sailors ready to progress beyond Inshore Skipper level and develop the knowledge, judgement and practical skills required to skipper a multihull on longer coastal and offshore passages.

Throughout the course you’ll develop advanced navigation, passage planning, pilotage, meteorology, collision regulations and crew management skills, combined with practical training in multihull handling, manoeuvring, anchoring, mooring and offshore seamanship.

Successful students receive the internationally recognised ISSA Offshore Skipper Multihull qualification, demonstrating an advanced level of practical yacht handling, navigation and command competence and providing an excellent foundation for further experience and progression towards Yachtmaster-level qualifications.

The official ISSA Offshore Motor Yacht Skipper Handbook is available separately through our online shop and provides valuable reference material before and after your training.
